The german Bank Volksbank Kraichgau dismissed the Chairman of the Work Council Torsten Wacker using the suspicious accusation of taking advantage of commission payments.
But the Work Council has not given its formal approval as requested by German law !
The case is now at the German Labour Court.

On 25 July 2014, the President of LOT Polish Airlines has dismissed the vice-president of the ITF and ETF affiliated cabin crew union ZZPP, Andrzej Jeżewski.
This dismissal is a violation of trade union rights, and an unacceptable attempt to disrupt on-going collective agreement negotiations.

The 6 workers are activists in the union Guvenlik-Is, an affiliate of Turk-Is and UNI. They are based in Antalya and have been dismissed by their employer over allegations of extortion and poor perfoemance. They have between 6 and 9 years length of services and have been heavily involved in the last few years in successfully building a union in the security sector.

The resistance by 595 sacked cleaners is such a dispute - arising directly from the austerity measures imposed on Greece by the so-called Troika (of the International Monetary Fund, the European Union, and the European Central Bank).
Guvenlik-Is the union in Turkey for Security workers has signed an amazing 13 collective agreements with security companies in Turkey. The union which has been working in partnership with UNI Property Services and UNI SCORE has just completed a week of actions in Antalya airport to in crease membership and win recognition. But outside of this campaign the union is completing agreements covering over 2,340 workers in these companies as they start their campaign to unionise this massive sector.
