UNI Europa stands in solidarity with ERT workers in their struggle

Greek government deprives its citizens of a universal public broadcasting service. ERT workers continue broadcasting nonetheless. UNI Europa calls upon the authorities to reverse the shutdown.

The UNI Europa Management Committee at its meeting on 18 October 2013 unanimously adopted the Statement: ‘Public Service Broadcasting in Greece’.

The future of the printing industry was at the heart of the discussion during UNI Europa Graphical general meeting that took place in Wiesbaden (Germany) on 17th October 2013. The 2012 turnover based on digital products for Axel Springer, one of the main European publishers, represented 50.02% of the total turnover of the company. For RCS, another main publisher in Europe, if the turnover based on digital products represents about 10% of the total turnover today, the strategy of the company is to increase this percentage up to 25% for 2015.
