The 5th UNI Apro Post and Logistics Conference was held on 25-27 August in Kuala Lumpur. More than 80 delegates and observers from 13 countries attended the conference. Guided by the overall theme, the conference participants discussed over two days the challenges of organising and ensuring the employability of postal and logistics workers in a new digital era.

One solidarity statement was read and adopted by the conference in support of Korean Postal Workers’ Union’s (KPWU) struggle to improve the employment and working conditions of Korean postal workers. One resolution was adopted to expand the committee membership to the UNI Post and Logistics Global Union committee. The Strategic Action Program for the period 2017-2021, presented by Sis Kanako Osaki, Director for UNI Apro Post and Logistics, was adopted by the conference delegates.

Bro Mitsugi Masuda, President of JPGU, was confirmed by the conference delegates as the next President of UNI Apro P&L from 2017 to 2021.
