ASPEK Indonesia, in cooperation with UNI G&P/UNI Apro Graphical and fully supported by Unon to Union, conducted a 2-day intensive training on Collective Bargaining for the graphical Sector. It is was held from December 17 to 18, 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The aim of this training was to provide Union Leader and Activists with practical skills to negotiate the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and understand the good strategy to make the success of CBA negotiations. It also serve to introduce UNI G&P/UNI Apro Graphical and ASPEK Indonesia to other trade unions not affiliated. 32 participants from 6 graphical unions participated, namely Aksara Grafika Union, Balai Pustaka Union (security printing), Ikrar Mandiri Union, Inti Rimbo Union, Percetakan Negara Republik Indonesia Union (security printing) and Amcor Union.

Graphical industries in Indonesia are currently fast growing, as proven by the increasing number of printing companies in Indonesia. However, the development of graphical industries has also given more challenges, such as the developing printing technology, especially digital printing. It is thus necessary to strengthen the union leaders and members of ASPEK Indonesia graphical affiliates, especially in relation with the rights to negotiate and establish Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
