NIdiL Cgil, one of UNI's affiliates in Italy, has published a guide on temp agency work. In the press release accompanying the Guide, it is said:
If “to know in order to decide” is the historic lesson of politics and citizenship from president Luigi Einaudi, the new NIdiL CGIL guide to temporary agency work, which is currently being distributed in union offices and workplaces, rephrases the sentence in a contemporary way: “To know in order to count”.
That is, as a matter of fact, what NIdiL CGIL secretary general Claudio Treves writes in the guide’s introduction: “Its aim is to allow temporary agency workers to be informed, to verify the fairness of their working conditions and to know whom to ask in case of doubts, uncertainties or – worse still – abuse”. The final product is a pocket-sized booklet, understandable by all thanks to the clear language used and the ad hoc infographics. The goal achieved then for the NIdiL CGIL organisation that put together a practical tool that cannot be missing in any union representative’s “toolbox”.
A Guide to temporary agency work to protect themselves and others, aimed at all workers, and in particular factory representatives and to all those who, union members or not, come to deal with temporary agency work. The Guide can be downloaded at:

It was also published in English, Spanish, French and Arabic, making it a useful tool for information on this contract type, but also on recruitment campaigns and initiatives that see Cgil in the frontline, above all to support the Universal Charter of Work’s Rights.
