In the world, seventy-five countries have laws that criminalize same-sex relations. Only four out of ten countries worldwide do equal numbers of girls and boys attend secondary school. Disabled people are four times more likely to report being treated badly and nearly three times more likely to be denied health care than non-disabled people.

Everybody has the right to an equal treatment, no matter their gender, nationality, age, ethnic origin, sexual orientation or religion.

Embracing diversity and recognizing the diverse set of talents and skills that each person brings, helps enrich societies and strengthen communities. Welcoming diversity in all its forms reinforces social cohesion and brings valuable benefits to societies around the world.

March 1st is Zero Discrimination Day. It is a day to stand up for the rights of those who suffer any form of discrimination, to give those who cannot speak out, a voice.
