UNI Europa supports ETUC declaration on Greece

ETUC calls on political leaders to break away from current punitive policies and make decisions based on the interests of workers and citizens across Europe, since they would be the first to suffer if Greece was to default or be forced out of the Eurozone. 

Oliver Roethig, UNI Europa Regional Secretary said: ‘Europe must be about solidarity. It is neither logical nor acceptable to first impose severe austerity measures on a European country and then allowing or even forcing that country to leave the Eurozone. We fully support the ETUC Executive Committee declaration’.
