With 28 participants, including 10 women, the FES / UNI seminar for young workers opened in Tunisia on 28 April 2015. Participants from Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia have started work under the direction of Leocadie Abouo, Regional Representative in charge of Women and Youth and Mongi Abderrahim, activities coordinator for the MENA region.

This led to implementation of our theme "Including you" which fully finds its meaning when young people are involved.

Therefore, the leaders of Tunisia and UNI UGTT, addressing the young workers emphasized the importance of training. Comrade Jellali Abdelhamid, Vice President of UNI Africa presented to the young that they have the privilege to benefit from this training. As for Afaya Kacem, Deputy Secretary General of the UGTT for International Relations, he said, "the best investment is to train the youth."

The first exercise help to realize that young workers are not only underrepresented in unions, but there are not many activities organized for them.

We believe that further work will equip them effectively to enable them to change their situation from inside their union.
