In its meeting on 27 January 2015, the UNI Europa Graphical Steering decided to adopt the document “The future of publishing” which was discussed during a European Conference organised end of 2014.

This document “The future of publishing” includes a working programme to be implemented in the next years. Among the different actions and activities that are within this work programme, we would like to underline the following points:

Identifying and take up contact with European Employers organisations
Identify areas of common ground to establish Social dialogue for publishing
Build an European network between trade unions representatives of publishing
Use social media of any organising and recruitment activities
Promote long life learning within the publishing sector and identify good practices
Development of a cooperation platform between UNI Europa Graphical, UNI Europa ITCS, Euro-MEI and EFJ
Setting up a working group that can support the implementation of this work programme
Include the publishing sector in the yearly survey on collective bargaining coordination
Analyse the situation in relation with EWC in the sector and the designation of trade union coordinators
