Over more than 40.000 signatures were received within 4 hours after the kick off of the Dutch citizen’s initiative. The initiative was taken by a group of actors called “the seducers” who attracted thousands of people for their play: “Taken by the banks”.  All 47 shows were sold out.

The performance is about the world of money and its management style. After two years of research in the banking sector the outcome shows it is still more unethical than expected. A special performance was shown for the employees of the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). After the shows, some discussions with the audience took place.The idea was born to break the taboo of money creation and bring it to the attention of the members of the Parliament through the citizen’s intitiative (more details are available at: https://www.facebook.com/DeVerleiders)  .
