The UNI Europa P&M conference in Nyon on 10-11 March 2014 will be an important opportunity for union activists from across Europe to strengthen the regional network for professionals and managers (P&M) and to set out action plan to address the needs and concerns of P&M workers.
P&M workers are set to become one of the largest groups of employees within the service industry and unions need to prepare strategies to actively organise this specific group of workers. Professionals and managers are an influential group of workers at the forefront of technological, organizational and societal change. To better support our affiliates to face these challenges, the conference will provide a platform to exchange views on key topics for P&M, in particular as regards the role of P&M workers in the future world of work, mobility and work-life management.
As part of the UNI Europa P&M strategy to intensify the knowledge sharing among members and to build a stronger European network, a survey has been prepared. It aims at mapping where P&M workers are being organized, which services affiliates provide for P&M workers and at identifying the key issues that P&M members work on.
UNI Europa P&M affiliates are invited to complete the survey available in four languages that will help create a broader picture of the P&M activities in the region.
