A vacancy exists for a part-time office assistant at UNI Head Office in Nyon, Switzerland.

The office assistant will work under the direction of the General Secretary’s department for various departments.

The successful candidate will work in the afternoons, Monday to Friday for a total of 17½ hours per week.

This includes:

1. General filing and photocopying.

2. Organising meetings, travel and hotel arrangements for staff.

3. General assistance.

4. Distributing internal mail to offices.

5. Cover of reception duties when required.

Candidates must have the ability to write and present in English. Knowledge of any other of the official UNI languages is of advantage.

The person appointed will be expected to work with the team of UNI officers dealing with sector and professional questions.

Knowledge and understanding of trade unionism would be of additional advantage.

The office assistant may be transferred to other departments at UNI Head Office.

The terms and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the collective agreement applying to all staff employed at UNI Head Office.
