UNI Apro youth networking & organising!

Youth has been told that they are the leaders of tomorrow. However, in the ever changing landscape of this globalizing world, we see that young people are faced with lesser opportunities to be a global player as they encounter greater challenges in their daily life, both in the society and at the workplace.
Globalization has also meant that the world has become smaller. UNI Apro together with NWJ Japan planned a workshop that would include a global prospective on the challenges faced by youth around the world especially in areas of organizing telecommunication industries’ young people into trade unions and making sure that trade unions remains relevant to the workers and society.
Another priority area of the youth is the issue of street children, child labor and children that are not adequately provided for – some are forced to work to earn money to survive in the streets. Part of the workshop’s activity is to learn about children rights, about the concerns of the less fortunate children and what social movement unionism is all about.
