As part of the project on Transnational industrial relations in the heart of a social and ethical finance industry, a workshop was held in Brussels gathering employee and management representatives from three muyltinational companies: Danske Bank, AXA and Dexia.

The three companies all represent ‘good practice’ as regards transnational industrial relations and employee involvement and have transnational agreements.

The three companies gave presentations on their specific transnational dialogue structures and the agreements they had negotiated (e.g. Danske Bank’s Global Framework Agreement).

Discussions in the workshop were about the future potential of transnational negotiations, about the challenges of proper consultation and involvement in a multinational company and the internal communication and dialogue.

The workshop - together with the workshop held in Prague, 6-7 October (see related articles) is meant as a trial for establishing a more permanent network of multinationals within UNI finance to exchange experience at a regular basis.
