A delegation of UNI Graphic Americas, CEP of Canada and SINAP visited the plant of Kimberly Clark in the city of Mogi das Cruzes. The delegation consisited of Leonardo del Roy, President of UNI Graphic Americas and CONATIG, Marvin Largaespada Regional Director, Dave Coles, President of CEP and Duncan Brown, CEP (who is also the president of the Multinationals Working Group of UNI Graphic Global Union) and Iduigues Ferreira Martins, president of the National Union of Paper of Brazil.



The delegation were able to see all of the operations of the business and to meet with the workers. This plant is one of the three plants that KC has in Brazil and is a manufacturing plant and paper processing for the development of sanitary products.



The company has subcontracted to 4 companies the supply of outsourced workers:



During the visit it was noticed that there was a lack of dust masks being worn by the workers and in an environment where a large quantity of dust is originated by these products this should be addressed.



This plant also has a treatment process for the return of the water that it utilizes from the river which is the main supplier of this resource.
