FETRASECH establishes a Permanent Working Group on Private Security

 The Chilean Federation of Workers of Security and Services (FETRASECH), union organization affiliated to UNI Global Union in the private security sector, was summoned by the Private Public Committee of Security, Public Security Division of the Ministry of the Interior, to participate in the creation of a Permanent Working Group on Private Security in Chile. The constitutive meeting was also attended by the Association of Private Security Companies and Values Transport of Chile (ASEVA) and representatives of the Carabineer’s OS10 unit of the Ministry of the Interior.



The Permanent Working Group will have a 4 years’ duration and one of its first assignments will be to discuss the bill on private security, presently going through the Chamber of Deputies. A series of meetings are also planned to be celebrated to evaluate a research study carried out by the University of Chile on a diagnosis of the private security industry as well as a comparative legislation analysis.



This invitation formulated to FETRASECH has been received with great satisfaction by the Regional Office of UNI Americas; the Regional Secretary, Raul Requena, trusts that the Chilean Federation of Workers of Security and Services will take this role with the highest responsibility and always watching over the interests of their colleagues of the sector.
