Febe Elizabeth Velásquez is one of the martyrs for which decree N0 589 of October 15th 1990 was issued. Among other important aspects, this decree recognises that unions are the suitable means for organised workers to defend their rights.



UNI Americas joins the commemoration events and expresses our solidarity to all the Salvadoran workers; we express our hope for unity and we wish that their fight and reason should enable them to solve their problems and start moving to a fairer society.
