Nigerian unions demand minimum wage

TRADE unions in Nigeria are poised to hold nationwide strikes at the end of January should the Federal Government fail to pass into law the new national minimum wage bill.

And Minister of Labour and Productivity Emeka Wogu has appealed to unions not to continue with their planned industrial action to allow more time for the National Assembly to take a critical look at the bill.
