Half a million people peacefully marched through London against government cuts on Saturday.



A large contingent of protesters made sure that the government plans to privatise the Royal Mail was a prominent part of the march with powerful messages carried on hundreds of placards.



With critical postal services and many Post Offices at risk of closure, UK politicians and the general public need a daily reminder on why we must keep the post public.



The Royal Mail is not just a service with a price tag. The Royal Mail aids the small businesses that are vital to a growing economy. Its Post Offices are the cornerstone of our communities. The Royal Mail stands for the belief that everyone in our country deserves a fair and universal service. The government's privatisation plans put all of this under threat.



To get more MPs to join the campaign we need the public clearly on our side. The UK postal workers union, the CWU, are asking people to come up with slogans for Billboards to try and persuade the politicians this is a bad move.
