The employees’ side opened the dialogue mentioning that the situation they have in Europe does not correspond to other countries where the Santander group operates. They see it is necessary to establish a consultation and information framework relationship, covering the worldwide workforce to obtain the best practices, to set a minimum standards for labour relations and social dialogue, of corporate social responsibility, and governance standards of the group.



The parties agreed that the success achieved by the company has been a result of the efforts of all the persons who work for Santander group in the countries the company operates.



The social part of the European Works Council called on Santander to start negotiations to establish a global framework for coordinating global and transnational social dialogue, with representation from all countries where the group operates. UNI Finance is willing to start a dialogue in order to get to the signing of a global agreement in Santander to establish a framework for consultation and social dialogue in the countries where the group operates.
