UNI Europa signs new EWC rules with Carrefour

From now on, the body becomes a real EWC with information and consultation rights and not a simple Comittee for an "exchange of views" as previously stated. UNI Europa remains on board as partner to the agreeement.



The amended agreement, signed by UNI Europa, now takes on board new rights for workers as enacted by the EWC "recast directive" of 6 May 2009.



For instance, a yearly training meeting is foreseen and a specific working group on new technologies will be set up to anticipate and face challenges ahead in the company.



In addition, the renewed agreement ensures that each EWC member, whatever his or her country of origin, is released for sufficient number of hours to carry out his or her European mandate.
