A group of Unilever workers came to Davos to remind Unilever CEO Paul Polman not forget his staff back in the UK facing cuts to their pensions of 40%. Polman is one of the co-chairs of the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos this week.



Philip Jennings, UNI Global Union General Secretary, met with the workers and told them that UNI and its affiliates stood firmly beside them. Spokesperson for the Unilever workers, Bill Hodgson said, “We’re here to reinforce the message to Mr Polman - hand off our pensions. It’s clear to everyone that the rich are getting the richer while the rest of us, including my colleagues at Unilever, are suffering.”
