In order to reach this position, GPA had to have work meetings during working time, demonstrations throughout Austria, strike authorization from the umbrella organization ÖGB, and the choice of strike administration in the companies.



The results highlighted are:

• The monthly salary will increase 3.1% plus € 9,--. Depending on the concrete salary, it will be between 3.35% and 3.75%, with lower salaries getting the greater increase, the higher the lower increase. The average rate is 3.5%, with inflation in 2011 at 3.3%.
• Unpaid parental leave will count in the future for continued payment of remuneration in the case of sickness (maximum 10 months).
• Until the summer, GPA will discuss “Fair Trade” working conditions with the employers, including changing the culture of high pressure to sell financial products.

This collective agreement is valid from April 1^st 2012 until March 31^st 2013.
