US bank bailout plan

In the latest rescue plan for the financial system, US Treasury Secretary, Hank Paulson, and the Chairman of the Federal Reserve (Fed), Ben Bernanke, proposed a vast bailout of US financial institutions whereby the Treasury Department would buy up to $700 billion in toxic mortgage-backed securities.

New Zealand: Sales targets increased despite financial crisis

Despite the global financial crisis, New Zealand affilate Finsec says that sales and referral targets are being held at their current levels or are being increased for most staff at New Zealand financial institutions. In its Statement of financial regulation, UNI Finance asks that companies make sure that pay incentives promote excellent customer service and good advice.
