On Thursday November 26, 2015 more than 100 women and men participated in the Second Women in Sport Conference, which was held at UNI Headquarters. 

The Conference revolved around issues like the growing interest of the public on female sports and its impact, the behaviour at the workplace and its perception, the lack of female representation in decision making positions, and achievieng equity in sports. 

UNI Head of World Athletes, Brendan H. Schwab, was one of the three invited speakers, focusing on the role of athletes and their unions in advancing equity in sport. 

In his presentation he spoke about the fundamental steps to achieve gender equity in sport, which include, equal pay and conditions for women athletes, skill building in negotiation and collective bargaining, and good governance.

Towards the end of the meeting, the UNI Equal Opportunities Department called on the participants to show their support for the 16 days of activism towards the elimination of all forms of violence against women.
