Security unions from UNI Property Services affiliates in 15 countries formed a global alliance in the Spring of 2010 to improve standards in Securitas workplaces across the world. These unions have already reached out to Securitas' Headquarters Office in Stockholm twice to raise concerns about the failure of the company to follow the terms of its Global Agreement and to treat workers fairly. The unions that comprise the Alliance are from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Spain, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, The Netherlands, UK and USA.



Alice Dale, Head of UNI Property Services said, "As we broaden our discussions with security unions across the globe, we continue to discover more and more problems with Securitas' operations, both when workers act to form a union but also on basic employment standards like pay, hours of work and conditions on the job. We have raised a number of concerns with Securitas, including filing several formal complaints with the company, but the issues largely remain unresolved. This is an unacceptable situation for workers, for UNI and its affiliates."
