Ver.di showed its support for the workers and their union, Tumtis, after a meeting in Berlin yesterday between ver.di vice chair Andrea Kocsis and Tumtis president Kenan Ozturk.



Andrea Kocsis said, “The right of workers to engage in trade union activities has to be recognised. We expect Deutsche Post DHL to enter into constructive cooperation with Tumtis soon."



UNI Global Union Campaigns Director, Alan Tate, said "The solidarity shown by ver.di to the DHL workers in Turkey and their union TUMTIS is tremendous. Hopefully the company will now live up to their international commitments and resolve this situation."
