An update to our recent article on the bargaining for a new collective contract in New Zealand Post.



The EPMU is the largest Postal Union in NZ representing over 4500 workers in Delivery, Mail Processing and Retail Postshops. The EPMU have concluded our first round of negotiations with NZ Post last week on 6,7,8 May 2008.The EPMU has adjourned negotiations to report back to members located at over 300 sites across New Zealand. EPMU negotiations resume on May 28,29. The PWA representing approx 650 Delivery workers at NZ will be going into negotiations with NZ Post in the week of May 20th. The two unions have met in recent times to discuss matters of mutual interest.
