As UNI TAW has already reported, Adecco suggested a “voluntary redundancy scheme” right after announcing its increased financial results. The company failed to consult employees' representatives before going public about the dismissals.



Around a hundred employees took to the streets in front of the Adecco offices in different French towns and over 50% of staff supported their colleagues by closing their offices and not responding to calls.



The unions said the dismissals "did not have any financial justification" and told the company they would not start negotiations on the issue before examining the necessary financial document. Four biggest French union organisations (CFE/CGC, Cfdt, Unsa and FO) issued a joint statement expressing their discontent (more information in French is attached).
