It was organized by Zahist Pratsy Trade Union, with a support form UNI Global Union. Its main goal was to identify the main challenges, faced by the TU, and to elaborate a strategy of moving forward during 2010, in terms of organizing and capacity building.



The activists of the local unions from Kyiv, Poltava, Mykolayiv, Kryvyi Rih and Dnipropetrovsk have taken part in the workshop. Apart from training, a number of questions were discussed, concerning the structure of the union and the capacity building:

• The structure of the union will be consolidated;
• The membership fees collection will be regularized;
• The program of the trade union trainings for the activists at workplaces was adopted and will be implemented;
• An integrated approach towards the development of the trade union information and communication tools, including the website, information desks at the workplaces was adopted as well as a plan of information and communication was elaborated.
• The coordination of activities with UNI will be strengthened

There was also an important discussion, concerning the ways of reaching the strategic goal of the TU – to sign a collective agreement with MCC Ukraine.
