Unicredit EWC (European Works Council), in its November 19, 2013 plenary meeting met with Top Management. Unicredit EWC intends to pursue the signing of a Global Framework Agreement (GFA), jointly with UNI Finance, to guarantee employees' fundamental rights and enhance industrial relations in all the countries where the Group is active.

In the present macro-economic difficulties in all countries, Unicredit EWC recognizes the vital importance of Social Dialogue and in particular the importance of reaching an agreement on the signing of a Global Framework Agreement.

Unicredit EWC is concerned about the medium-to-long-term projects of the Group, and especially resists the sheer cutting of labour costs.

It opposes management proposal of linking compensation mainly to performance and oursourcing initiatives.

It is asking for a joint declaration on the issue of responsible sales and pressures excersised on sales people.

Finally it expresses its support to Italian workets and Trade Unions in the banking sector in relation to the cancellation of the national collective agreement fy ABI employers' association.
