Thank you for your unwavering support in helping to ensure the UNI World Congress in Cape Town was a media success.

The Congress was featured in more than 200 national and regional press outlets in South Africa on television, radio and print. The international press also covered the Congress, notably on CNN and CNBC.

Affiliates were featured in a special CNBC debate on the “New World of Work” which went on CNBC Africa and was picked up by the entire CNBC global network.

Congress was also a digital success with thousands tweeting using the #UNI2014 hashtag and more than a thousand retweets from the UNI account. We had a huge increase in social media engagement over the course of the congress. Philip Jennings now has more than 100,000 followers on Twitter.

Affiliates recorded more than 90 video messages to their membership in the specially built UNITube corner.
