Ver.di member workers at PIN Mail in Berlin are on strike: while it seems ver.di have made every effort to negotiate a collective agreement with PIN since June, the company has refused.

On behalf of the more than 3 million postal workers around the world UNI Post and Logistics Global Union calls on PIN Mail to demonstrate to the world that a constructive relationship based upon social partnership is a successful model and to bargain in good faith with ver.di and the members it represents.

With a thousand workers in the Berlin area, PIN has been an important player in the German letters business for many years and yet the company has yet to regularise its relationship with ver.di.

Furthermore, as a service provider for the Berlin government, it is incumbent upon PIN to demonstrate its commitment to the social dialogue process and bargain in good faith with ver.di to establish a collective agreement for its workers.

UNI Post and Logistics Global Union's Head, Stephen De Matteo says "We stand in solidarity with those striking for a better situation at work".
