The events planned on and around April 4th are part of a nationwide fight for basic workers' rights that are under attack by Republican politicians and their rich right-wing corporate contributors.



April 4th is also the anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who was killed in Memphis in 1968 when he travelled there to support striking sanitation workers.
