Bro. Andy Snoddy, the Head of UNI Graphical and Packaging, met the UNI-MLC affiliates from Graphical and Packaging Union on 9th April 2013.



The Graphical affiliates in Malaysia were able to express their views on strengthening the Union and also on plans to organise other graphical sector company in the near future.



Bro Mr. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal said “Today, we have created a landmark by establishing the UNI-MLC Graphical sector committee” and Bro. Andy said “This is an important first step in building our Unions in Malaysia”.



The following is the composition of the committee:-



1. Chairman - Bro. Soosai Raja Savarmuthu (National Union of Newspaper Workers - NUNW)



2. Vice Chairman - Bro. Bro. Vittal Rao (National Printing Malaysia Berhad Employees Union)



3. Vice Chairman - Bro. Kumar (Printing Industry Employees Union - PIEU)



4. Secretary - Bro. Sharizad bin Abdul Bakar (Paper and Paper Products Manufacturing Employees Union - PPPMEU)



In addition to the above, it was agreed that the four (4) Graphical Unions will have two (2) representatives each to be included in the Graphical Sector Committee which will now have twelve (12) members.
