UNI MLC delegation met with PM of Malaysia

Ten leaders from the Congress of Unions in the Government Linked Company (GLC) and Privatization and Union Network International - Malaysian Liaison Council (UNI-MLC) met with the Honorable Prime Minister Dato' Seri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak on 9April2012 at the Parliament House, Kuala Lumpur. The meeting was requested to raise issues of common concern to the trade union movement and the members that they represented. Amongst the issue raised were as follows:- 1. Retirement age of 60 years. 2. Low Pension Rates. 3. Resolving Internal problems of GLC and Privatization. 4. Internal Governance of GLC & Privatization. 5. NUBE Union's Grievance against Maybank. 6. Job security and business viability after the share swap between Malaysia Airline and Air Asia. The meeting was held in a cordial manner and frank discussion held with the aim of solving issues and seeking better industrail relations with the government. Honorable Prime Minister also agreed to attend the special convention of GLC & UNI-MLC in the near future. The UNI MLC delegation consisted of: 1. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal 2. Abu Hussin Bin Nekmat 3.
