UNI is standing in support of 320 local Novartis workers who’ve been told they will lose their jobs as the extremely profitable company has announced plans to cut its work force by 2000. This will devastate Nyon and surrounding towns, where Novartis, which employs 700 workers, is a major employer.



UNI’s global headquarters is in Nyon. On Saturday about 3 dozen UNI staff members and their families attended the march in solidarity with the Novartis workers.
