UNI LC Japan Delegation Visits Hyderabad, India
Atsushi Miyai, President of UNI Apro Finance led a delegation to Hyderabad, India. The delegation was received by the Director of Software Technology Parks in India. The delegation paid visits to workplaces of Japanese joint venture companies operating in India, including the Toshiba Plant Systems & Services Corporation [TPSC] in Hyderabad.
UNI ILC President Milind Nadkarni and the officials welcomed the visiting UNI LC Japan delegation to India. A joint seminar for Youth & Women seminar was also organized during the visit of the Japanese delegation; participants were young union activist from formal and informal sectors. The delegation was in Hyderabad on 17-18 September 2017.
UNI Apro Finance President paid a courtesy call on All India State Bank of India Staff Federation (AISBISF) regional headquarters in Hyderabad. V V S R Sarma, President of AISBISF warmly welcomed the visiting Japanese delegation to the union office. UNI Apro Finance President Miyayi visited the State Bank of India (SBI) Hyderabad Main Branch prior to the visit to the union office. They were welcomed by AGM, Chief Managers of SBI and AISBISF representatives with bouquets. Then they interacted with some staff members and finally with AGM (Branch Head). Later they visited SBI Hyderabad Circle's Head Office and met General Manager (Head of HR) and exchanged the information and views.
In response to UNI Apro Finance President Miyai question; about the Industrial Relation practices in the Bank, Chief Development Officer Mr R Radhakrishnan explained the longstanding relationship between the union and the management has evolved into an open door policy, regular structured meetings are held periodically to discuss matters of mutual interest, and union representatives have direct access to the management from the branch to corporate level. This was possible as the management and union have built a trust-based relationship over the years for the growth of the bank, said Mr Radhakrishnan.
