UNI ICTS Global Union held its first World Committee meeting after the World Conference in Mexico last October to review the progress made and to plan for the future. A number of issues were discussed during the one-day event, starting with the state of collective bargaining in the ICTS sector in Africa, Apro, Europa and the Americas. UNI Global Union staff reported on the work carried out to organize in multinational corporations such as Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom and Telefonica, and a theme was chosen for the upcoming Call Centre Action Month in October. During the meeting, the standing committee on telecommunications and the standing committee on IT also met.
