UNI Graphical & Packaging met for the first time in Belfast on 14th November. Reports were made on the problems facing our members around the world and on the successes of affiliated unions in organising in multinational companies such as Amcor, MMP, and Kimberly Clark. A detailed action plan for 2014 was agreed which included targets for global agreements and organising projects in Poland, Malaysia, Kenya and Colombia. Andy Snoddy, Head of Department, said:" I was really pleased to welcome the Management Committee to my home town" and Tommy Andersson, President of UNI Graphical & Packaging, said:" I am pleased at the progress that has been made this year and look forward to 2014 with confidence that we can rise to meet the challenges we face".
