Members of the UNI Global Union Graphical Executive met last week at UNI headquarters in Nyon and endorsed the ongoing program focused on work within multinational companies.



Conference attendees reported on the implementation of global agreements and the executive expressed concern about the ongoing difficulties at the Elanders plant in Atlanta, United States.



The Executive also debated at length the importance of ensuring UNI Graphical remains relevant to affiliates and the engagement between UNI G and unions is productive from both a time and cost standpoint. The HOD is to prepare further options for the Executive to consider prior to the UNI Graphical Conference which will be held in Paris in June 2011.



The format for the Graphical Conference will involve smaller workshop meetings focusing on the implementation of the Work Plan.



A reception for all UNI Graphical members attending the World Congress in Nagasaki will be held following the Peace Rally.



A presentation on the interaction between the sectors and UNI SCORE was also made at the Executive meeting, complementing the work UNI Graphical is doing through its multinational focus.



The Property Services Sector also gave an overview of the Responsible Contractor Policy and how this policy links with the organizing activities in UNI Graphical.
