Given the importance of the proposed Enforcement Directive on the Posting of Workers, its implications for labour markets and posted workers, the European trade union movement is closely monitoring the discussions.



The COREPER Meeting of 7 October agreed a compromise proposal which is unacceptable to the trade union movement. The ETUC and the ETUFs draw the attention of policy-makers, meeting on 15 October 2013, to their core demands and points of concern with the proposed compromise text.



Our key demands focus on three points:

· The applicable legislation in cases of bogus posting

· The openness of control and inspection measures

· Chain liability



An Alarm Action is organised on 15 October 2013 in Luxembourg to monitor the discussions at the EPSCO meeting and raise the voices and concerns of European workers.
