UNI europa expresses solidarity and support with its Spanish affiliated trade unions FeS-UGT, AADD-CCOO and FTSP-USO who are currently engaged in a dispute with their employer association counterpart in the private security sector, Aproser. UNI europa is very concerned that there has been no collective labour agreement in this sector since December 2008, which leaves around 100,000 Spanish security workers uncovered, without wage increases and lacking protection. UNI europa urges Aproser to present a suitable proposal for a collective labour agreement and to ensure that the economic crisis is not utilized as an excuse to bring down wages and working conditions.



The Spanish unions representing the private security sector are planning to strike from Monday 29^th March until Monday 5^th April if a suitable proposal for a collective agreement has not been presented.



UNI europa will continue to support its trade union affiliates representing private security sector workers from all across Europe to improve working conditions and to ensure a decent way of life for all.



We hope that the Spanish social partners are able to work together find a suitable solution to this issue as soon as possible and to continue working towards the finalisation of a collective agreement for the sector.
