UNI europa has produced text measuring the possible Social Impact of the proposed cross border CIT legislation. The document was prepared with the input of its European affiliates and is designed to highlight the possible negative impact on social and employment policy this legislation could have. UNI europa are calling on the European Commission to clarify the intended social policy to be applied in the case of cross border CIT activity. So far, both UNI europa and its European Social Partner CoESS do not feel that the issue of wages or working conditions have been suitably resolved. UNI europa does not feel that the Posting of Workers Directive would be an adequate reference point for calculation of wages and for setting working conditions. UNI europa is instead advocating for the highest wages and the highest working conditions to apply in all cases of cross border transportation of the Euro cash.



UNI europa and the EFT also produced a response to the Commission's white paper in which they call on the Commission not to allow any social dumping and to ensure that there is an upwards movement towards higher standards in this sector.
