On Thursday 17th November, the first Finance Watch meeting to discuss the recently released MIFID proposal took place. UNI Europa Finance was the chair of the meeting and of the subsequent consumer protection sub group. The meeting was the first opportunity for Finance Watch members to discuss the proposal together and start the foundations of the eventual Finance Watch position paper.



The meeting was attended by a range of interested civil society groups and UNI Europa Finance's nordic colleagues the NFU. The meeting was extremely fruitful and there was a common consensus regarding priority areas for future work.
