The strike will involve 55,000 workers of UniCredit, italian boundaries, and will take place on friday July 27th (all day long).



The reason of the industrial action is that UniCredit refused to negotiate with the Trade Unions the collective premium (called VAP) related to the bank results and the Italian Banking National Collective Agreement. On the other hand UniCredit paid individual bonuses (not negotiated with the Trade Unions) for an amount close to 100 Milllions Euro and the Board of Directors decided for an extra 135 millions € of Stock Options only for the top management employees in the next three years.

For UNI and its affiliates, this shows that UniCredit is not valuing the social dialogue the daily efforts that thousands of workers made in this tough environment.
