Philip Jennings said, “Our US affiliates have done us proud and we send our sincere thanks. We congratulate them and President Obama on his victory. There is much work to be done when Obama returns to the White House but what is sure is that the United States and the world have been spared the greed economics touted by Mitt Romney. The corporate fat cats would have got fatter under Romney and workers would have suffered. The American people saw through Romney in part due to the hard work of our affiliates."



He added, "Today they along with Obama have earned the right to celebrate but let's not forget the fight starts here. The right wing multi-millionaires who tried to buy the Presidency fo Romney will launch a new offensive on Congress to turn back the clock on Obama's successes and prevent him from moving forward on policies to help working families. UNI will continue to support its US affiliates as we take part in this battle and will provide global solidarity. We look forward to seeing our US friends at the World Executive Board in Nyon next week when we will have the opportunity to thank them in person.”
