UNI Global Union condemns  the terrorist attack in Sousse, Tunisia which claimed 38 lives and left dozens more injured. An act of barbarism clearly aimed at destabilizing the country.

UNI Global Union General Secretary, Philip Jennings said, “It is with great sadness that UNI extends its condolences to the families of the victims as well as its heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery to all those injured. This latest atrocity, coming after the Bardo museum massacre in March, is clearly targeting Tunisia’s tourism industry as well as the country's entire economy and security systems. UNI sends a message of solidarity to the Tunisian unions, they took action to build a new nation and work every day for peace and a nation free from fear.”

 “UNI also appeals to the international community to stand in solidarity with Tunisia as it seeks to eradicate terrorism and pursue freedom, democracy and justice.”
