UNI Americas Young Workers Group starts Regional Committee Meeting

 Bogota. The 9th UNI Americas Regional Youth Committee Meeting started deliberations as the first of six activities that shall be carried out during the next 7 days in this city. It was presided over by Toni Moore, from the BWU (Barbados).



The opening ceremony was attended by the President of UNI Women’s World Committee; colleague Denise Mc Guire, together with Verónica Fernádez Méndez from UNI Women, both offered young delegates significant support and expressed great commitment, as they will be taking the place of the previous leaders in their unions as well as inside our own structure.



Colin Medland greeted the participants and encouraged them to work with their distinctive enthusiasm and to follow the path established in Nagasaki and by the Breaking Through Plan.



For his part, the Regional Secretary and the Responsible for the Group in UNI Americas, Raul Requena and Briceida Gonzalez respectively, expressed their gratitude for the presence of young representatives of the organisations affiliated of our region, and encouraged them to adopt the best resolutions to enable the achievement of visibility in the work of young leaders of the Americas.
