On August 22-23, Gaming unions from 6 countries representing 8 different unions gathered in Santiago de Chile. Mario Madrigal, UNI Americas Gaming Regional President, welcomed over 40 participants and encouraged them to discuss organising of workers in casinos, bingos, lotteries, betting shops and to exchange experiences on te situation in this rapidly developing sector. 

Carlos Musis, a management representative from Codere, one of multinationals UNI has a global agreement since 2013, congratulated  UNI with the development and efficient co-operation in the sector reconfirming the commitment of Codere to continue developing global dialogue. 

The meeting will hear about the regulation of the gaming sector, global agreements and union alliances, workers rights as well as agree on the sectoral workplan and elect the regional committee.
